Overview
What is the Embedded Librarian program?
You can have a dedicated librarian for your specific course(s) in your Canvas course shell
Add a librarian into your Canvas course shell
Librarian can easily share resources such as guides, links, videos, and other tools
Librarian role in Canvas has the same privileges as an Instructor, but cannot give out grades
What are the benefits?
Librarian can assist you with teaching information literacy concepts, research methods, and citation to your students
Students can directly message librarians for help without the use of email
Collaboration to strengthen research assignments
Who would benefit this the most?
Research methods courses
Intensive Writing (IW)
Capstone courses
Asynchronous online courses
Classes where final projects are research intensive

How do you sign up?
Please fill out a
library instruction request form
and indicate "Yes" for are you interested in embedded a librarian into your Canvas course question
