Library Instruction at Indiana University Northwest

This is an internal LibGuide for all librarians who deliver library instruction session. Includes scheduling logistics, forms, links, help, and resources.

Assessment for Library Instruction

What is the current assessment plan?

Our plan addresses the needs to incorporate assessment for all types of instruction sessions on campus. This includes synchronous sessions, asynchronous (videos and embedded librarians), early stages (W131, S121, and FYS courses), late stages (Intensive Writing and Capstone courses), and collaboration with teaching faculty.

As of March 2021, solidified plans include assessment within one-shot synchronous and one-shot asynchronous sessions only. This LibGuide will show step-by-step what to do when scheduled for these types of sessions.

The goal is to develop more assessment plans for full courses in a variety of formats and subjects.

What's in this LibGuide?

The current assessment plans are for one-shots only, both synchronous and asynchronous rather than just for one-shots. To grab an assessment plan, click the type of session on the left hand menu column. Each box will show you the plan, tools used, a comprehensive rubric, and a collaboration strategy to get faculty on board.
