Indiana History

Overview

ILLiad is an electronic interlibrary loan service available to everyone in the Indiana University Northwest community and Indiana residents. Users can submit requests for library materials from other libraries online, and when possible and desired, electronically receive journal articles.

This guide aims to help users set up an ILLiad account, submit requests, and find information.

To continue directly to ILLiad, you may either use the left box or follow this link.

Placing a Request

Once logged into ILLiad, there are many options. The first one of interest is the New Requests section. Here, you can submit a request for an item based on its format, e.g. an article.

Each request has different required fields, marked with an asterisk. These fields must be filled out to submit the request. ILLiad will automatically log you out after a set time, and does not save information you have entered if you are logged out or navigate to another link in ILLiad.

Before submitting a request, please check if the item is available through IUCAT or among our databases through our Citation Linker below. IU Northwest students, faculty or staff members can use Request Delivery in IUCAT and view full articles from our subscribed databases from off-campus with their IU Northwest usernames and pass phrases.

When you have completed the form, click on the “Submit Request” button.
