Kate Gustafson's W131 Online Class Guide

This guide supports Professor Gustafson's online English W131 class with research.

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Although Indiana University Northwest and the broader IU library system contains a very comprehensive collection, there are cases when material may not be available. For these cases, we have interlibrary loan.

Interlibrary loan is a service provided by the library's System Services department. Through our online portal, ILLiad, library users can request any material they need. If available, a lending library will send books and articles to our library for our users.

Books have to be picked up at the library once they arrive and can take a couple weeks, but most journal articles can be sent to ILLiad accounts electronically and received within the same day or next weekday. Details on ILL policies are available on the ILL FAQ.

To use ILLiad, follow this link or log on using the login box on this page.

Please note: ILLiad is separate from the Indiana University Northwest username and passphrase system. If you have not previously created an ILLiad account, you will need to create one with the "First Time Users" link.

For assistance on how to use ILLiad, consult our ILLiad guide.
