Library Skills Instruction: Books

IUCAT--The Indiana University Libraries Online Catalog

The online catalog at Indiana University or IUCAT consists of the libraries' holdings of books, periodicals, government publications and other items in various formats.  Many of them can be checked out.  Others, such as, reference books, and some reserve materials cannot leave the library.  To find a specific item, search the IUCAT to determine which library has it and what the call number is to locate it on the shelf.

On this page, you will find a link to a LibGuide that explains how to search for books.  On the tab above labeled Call Numbers, information is provided to help you find the book on the shelf via the call number.
