Using ILLiad

This guide explains registration and usage of ILLiad, our electronic interlibrary loan service.

Find ILLiad Request Pages

Once logged into ILLiad, there are many options. The first one of interest is the New Requests section. Here, you can submit a request for an item based on its format, e.g. an article.

Note that Alumni and Community Patrons are limited to Article and Book requests, and may only check out three items at a time.

Each request has different required fields, marked with an asterisk. These fields must be filled out to submit the request. ILLiad will automatically log you out after a set time, and does not save information you have entered if you are logged out or navigate to another link in ILLiad.

Before submitting a request, please check if the item is available through IUCAT or among our databases through our Citation Linker below. IU Northwest students, faculty or staff members can use Request Delivery in IUCAT and view full articles from our subscribed databases from off-campus with their IU Northwest usernames and pass phrases.

If a book is damaged while checked out to you, you will be held responsible and may be charged for replacement.

Submit the ILLiad Request

When you have completed the form, click on the “Submit Request” button.
