The month of April is recognized throughout the United States as National Sexual Assault Awareness month. During this month, organizations raise public awareness on the issue of sexual violence and methods of prevention.
The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) coordinates the annual theme, slogan, resources and materials with assistance from similar organizations.
The 2024 theme is Building Connected Communities. The purpose of this theme is to recognize how communities reduce the likelihood of sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.
