The month of April is recognized throughout the United States as National Sexual Assault Awareness month. During this month, organizations raise public awareness on the issue of sexual violence and methods of prevention.
The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) coordinates the annual theme, slogan, resources and materials with assistance from similar organizations.
The 2023 theme is Drawing Connections: Prevention Demands Equity. The purpose of this theme is to build racial equity and respect, and recognize how various forms of oppression intersect and contribute toward the problem of sexual violence.
