Your guide to help format and cite resources in multiple different styles!

APA (American Psychological Association): for social sciences, especially Psychology and Sociology.
MLA (Modern Language Association): common in the humanities, especially History, Philosophy, Literature, Art, Music, and more. There are two editions used: the 7th and 8th.
Chicago (University of Chicago)/Turabian (Kate L. Turabian): known for its heavy use of footnotes and cross references, it is commonly used in history books and papers.
Other Styles:
- American Chemical Society: primarily used for chemistry and ACS publications
- American Medical Association: for Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA)

NOTE: As always, be sure to ask your instructor what style he or she prefers.

OWL (Online Writing Lab)
Produced by Purdue University, this enormously popular resource helps students and professionals alike with writing style and formatting.
