My topic is "Black History" and was also known as African American History too. I will inform you about people and events that took place now and in the past.
Black History-It began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora.
Racism-Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
Equal-rights- The concept that every person is to be treated equally by the law.
Civil Rights Movement-A struggle for justice and equality for African Americans that took place mainly in the 1950s and 1960s.
Prejudice- injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights especially.
Segregation-the act or process of segregating : the state of being segregated. 2a : the separation or isolation of a race, class, or ethnic group by enforced or voluntary residence in a restricted area, by barriers to social intercourse, by separate educational facilities, or by other discriminatory means.
Diversity-the range of human differences, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, social class, physical ability or attributes, religious or ethical values system, national origin, and political beliefs.
Freedom-The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
