Adaptive Technology Center (ATC): Priority of Use

This guide details the Adaptive Technology Center (ATC) at the Anderson Library.

Priority of Use

The ATC computer workstations are geared toward providing assistance to persons with disabilities, including persons with learning disabilities; as well as Spanish speakers seeking software to assist with learning English as a Second Language (ESL), and the general public.  Members of the general public who are not disabled or not seeking use of ESL software are requested to first attempt to use the public use computers located in the Information Commons.  If no public use computers are available in the Information Commons; then a public user can request access to use an ATC computer.

ATC Etiquette

FOR THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF ALL, BECAUSE OF COVID-19 ONLY ONE PATRON, OR A PATRON WITH THEIR ASSISTANT, WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE ATC AT ONE PERIOD OF TIME UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

  • No children will be allowed in the ATC.
  • No food and drink will be allowed in the ATC.
  • No wired laptop computers will be allowed in the ATC.

Failure to follow the above rules or failure to treat the ATC space and equipment with proper respect will be grounds for a patron to be barred from the ATC.
